SDW (Security Document World) is the leading annual conference and exhibition in the security document, advanced border control, identity and document anti-counterfeiting industry. The show will take place for the sixth time this year. Review for 2011: more than 70 exhibitors, 1,200 visitors from 50 countries worldwide. G&D is going to participate for the fifth year in a row.
The conference will be focused on the concept of “Next-Generation Citizen” and Government ID Solutions. Topics will range from the enhanced ID documents plus anti-counterfeiting features and embedded chips – to the associated secure infrastructure required both to produce and use these documents in live situations.
This year, G&D is launching demos under the slogan "Authentication goes mobile" to showcase its products and solutions. In the "Track & Trace Solutions" section, visitors can experience the way in which unique codes can be used on documents such as ID cards and how they can be verified by smartphones. In its "Mobile Verification Device" demo, G&D will also be showcasing its procedure for front line checks for all types of official documents.
Ingo Liersch, Head of Segment Marketing Government Solutions at G&D, will be giving a presentation on "The Future of Personal Identity" at the conference on May 22.
