The Numeron and PMI terminal

Well over 10,000 Numeron machines have been put into service in more than 100 countries all over the world during the last few years. The system is used in cash centers and casinos, at bank counters, and in back offices. The Numeron processes a wide range of banknote qualities and substrates (paper, hybrid, polymer) with consistently high quality and efficiency. Its robustness and resultant service life are unmatched, even at speeds of up to 1,200 banknotes per minute – the fastest processing time in its class. The patented opening concept allows unrivalled ease of cleaning, maintenance, and dust removal.

Patented opening design

The system features three output compartments: two sorting stackers and one reject compartment for banknotes that are damaged, unfit, or suspected of being counterfeit. As well as reliable authentication of banknotes with the G&D CashRay 180 sensor, up to 40 different processing modes can be selected using the PMI terminal or flexibly defined.

This enables almost any type of sorting (e.g. by denomination, orientation, or condition), as well as tandem processing for rapid counting of deposits. Self-detecting, intelligent sorting modes that do not require any ongoing user action make operating the Numeron easy and convenient.

The Numeron is flexible in application and can be enhanced by additional components, ensuring a perfect fit with specific customer requirements.

The Numeron unites the concept of an optimum end-to-end solution for banknote processing with the requirements of our customers, resulting in an extremely economical, space-saving, and flexible system.

The following Numeron variants are available:

Numeron D:

• For rapid sorting and accounting of deposits
• Mixed deposits of various denominations can be accounted and sorted simultaneously
• Up to 1,200 banknotes per minute

Numeron F:

• As Numeron D, but with an additional option for sorting by condition (fitness checking)
• Certified in accordance with international framework regulations (e.g. ECB Fitness Framework)
• Up to 3 different quality categories: ATM-fit (ATM), fit for circulation (FIT), unfit for circulation (UNFIT)

Numeron DU:

• As Numeron D, but with a high-security sensor for best-in-class authentication of USD banknotes

Numeron T:

• As Numeron D, but with a special sensor for detecting adhesive tape on banknotes

Numeron TU:

• As Numeron T, but with a high-security sensor for best-in-class authentication of USD banknotes

The Numeron can be easily integrated into existing cash management software from G&D. NCS, the Numeron Configuration Software, is a Windows-based tool that allows users to configure and manage one or more Numeron units from a PC.

To ensure you get the best possible performance from your Numeron in the long term, G&D offers a variety of services throughout the world. These include practical service and operator training, rapid technical support, customized maintenance contracts, and system upgrades. These offerings are complemented by targeted support from G&D’s remote service, further shortening service times and increasing system efficiency.
