Instant issuance technology allows direct issuing of fully equipped customer and payment cards. In other words, cards that have all the required security and personalization features can be issued directly at a bank branch and/or point of sale (POS).

In Convego System Instant Issuance, G&D has developed a coordinated system that allows a bank to introduce and use instant issuance technology easily and conveniently in-house via a central control function.

Instant issuance is offered by G&D as an “attended solution”, i.e. it is a system that the personnel in a bank branch can use themselves to issue cards directly on-site when ordered by a customer. The technology is of particular interest to those card issuers who wish to raise themselves above the competition and strengthen their position through a high standard of customer service.

Self-Service Terminal for Instant Issuing (Kiosk)

The central services reduce the complexity of the branch systems installed by defining a certain number of binding functions for all branch systems. This is an absolute necessity, above all because an increasing number of branches away from urban areas also wish to issue cards using instant issuing. In addition, security is ensured via centralized data generation, which is executed in a certified security environment.

Bank employees are able to access the G&D Management Cockpit software at any time to monitor card production and query up-to-date system information. Communication between the branch systems and the central service modules is secured through the use of highly efficient encryption and authentication techniques. The bank employees’ work with the branch system is simplified as much as possible with a graphical user interface.

To enable the issuing of payment and customer cards at any time, even outside the bank branch and without the assistance of bank personnel, G&D will soon bring another innovation to the market: a self-service terminal (kiosk) that the customer can use to order and issue their own cards. The device is in the proof of concept stage.
