G&D does not receive any customer data and uses Java technology, which means it is only necessary to upload the final layout of each individual card. All editing and picture processing takes place in the virtual machine on the bank customer’s private computer.

The editing process does not require any software download, nor does it take up any processing time or bandwidth on the card issuer’s system.

Multi-lingual language and gallery settings can be stored on a single applet. This flexibility affords global players a cost-efficient means of introducing picture cards in multiple regions or internationally.

The card issuer defines the functions that it wishes to make available to its customers for editing their own individual payment card. The small-scale solution allows the card issuer to offer and manage a predetermined set of gallery pictures. The medium-scale solution also gives bank customers the option to upload their own pictures and edit them with a set of picture editing tools, in addition to the gallery option. With the large-scale picture-card solution, the options are almost infinite. Here, customers can give their creativity free reign with a wide range of editing tools and numerous predefined picture frames.

Screening services

G&D’s screening service is a highly effective tool for ensuring that the ethical, moral, and legal expectations and requirements of diverse interests worldwide are met. Due to its global presence and the Web-based screening interface, G&D is able to reliably identify any picture from overseas with the help of local resources. G&D is therefore able to avoid any potential sources of conflict from the outset, due to picture content that is contrary to local customs, traditions, or laws.

Personalization of pictures

Thanks to G&D’s many years of experience, we have been able to perfect picture personalization processes. This means we can ensure the highest quality for all types of visual enhancement methods and form factors. Through our global network of standardized production facilities, we can migrate picture-card personalization quickly and easily to any of our branches or subsidiaries overseas. Alternatively, the pictures can also be sent to a third-party provider.

Picture hosting

G&D stores the pictures in a secure production environment at least until the end of the normal product lifecycle for the individual payment card to allow subsequent reprinting if required.
